La Bobine has been recently renovated
and provides a cozy self-catering holiday home for four people. It’s
an ideal base to discover the countryside and beaches of northern
You can enter the cottage from either the village main
street or from the courtyard. Once inside, there’s a comfortable sitting and
dining room with beamed ceiling and tiled floor. The sitting room includes
a sofa that unfolds to a double bed. We supply bedding for this but suggest
that it’s best used for occasional guests.
There’s
British television and video. There’s a selection of tapes available but please
bring your own favourites if you’d like. There’s also
a compact disc player/radio.
The kitchen, which leads off the sitting room, is fully
equipped with a gas cooker, fridge, freezer and other necessities. If you
like to cook, you’ll be pleased to know that it’s well-supplied with all the
essentials.
The shower room and separate loo
are also on the ground floor.
A mahogany staircase leads upstairs. A double bedroom
provides plenty of space for a cot if required. The other bedroom has two
single beds. Both rooms have plenty of hanging and storage space
All bedding is, of course, included. You will need to
bring bed linen and towels with you unless you would like to hire them from
us.
La Bobine is heated, and hot water is supplied by, electricity. The cost of this is included for summer rentals but we charge an additional 30 euros per week as a heating supplement from October to April. The cooker runs on bottled gas and the cost is included in the rental fee.
This cottage and its neighbour, L'aiguille, interconnect.
The two can be rented together for large groups (sleeping a minimum of 12
people with six bedrooms and three bathrooms).
The cottage shares the garden with the owner’s home and
L'aiguille, the neighbouring cottage. . The garden covers about half an acre
with lots of trees, and has swings for younger visitors and lots of space
for games.
La Bobine is a no smoking
house and, sorry, no pets.
